Woven Squares

The fourth grade students learned about the Op Art style and looked at artworks by Victor Vasarely
for inspiration before creating these awesome collages. These collages feature woven paper and tiny squares layered on top of each other to create these beautiful designs. 








African Mud Cloth

The first graders learned about African Mud Cloths and then created these beautiful collage designs. 







Mosaics

The fifth grade students learned about mosaics, then planned and created their own paper mosaic.

Patterned Mud Cloths

Our first grade students looked at the shapes and designs of African mud cloths. Now the students are using colored papers to create a collage design inspired by African mud cloths. 







Working on Mosaics

The fifth grade students looked at pictures of mosaics and then planned their own.  Now, they are working on creating their own mosaic out of colored paper.

Painted Blankets

The second grade students looked at pictures of Mexican blankets and then used paint to create a striped blanket. Next, they will be using cut paper to add designs to their blankets.
